Impact - Pursuit - Assimilation

Pastor Klepp’s vision was to introduce this ministry to our church. So we invited Rev. Kendall Houts to come and explain the entire ministry to our congregation. The purpose of the Care Ministry is three-fold. Renew the Ministry of the Believer; it brings a renewed faith for ordinary believers to do extraordinary exploits for God. Gather the Harvest of the Church; the visitor is the harvest of the local church. No one becomes a member of your church without first being a visitor. The ministry to the unsaved, unchurched, and uninvolved is the harvest ministry. The Care Ministry is harvest ministry. Revive the Church; by renewing the ministry of the believer and by increasing the harvest of the local church, renewal will take place. The Care Ministry is a complete program that provides the seven necessary components to develop a strong and lasting ministry: vision, values, goals, plans, strategy, systems, and structures.

The Care Ministry was a vision given to Rev. Kendall D. Houts of Care Ministries International in 1986. It was a vision of the ministry of the believer meeting the needs of the people. This ministry empowers the believer to grow in the ministry of the Spirit, and it equips churches to experience the harvest growth the Lord has ordained for them. The Care Ministry has changed the lives of Christians and churches throughout the world.

We implemented the Care Ministry in May of 2004. At present we have eight teams of approximately six to eight team members on a team. Each team serves one Sunday a month. We are in the process of building the teams to reach our goal of 16 teams with approximately ten team members on each team. The ministry consists of Mary Ann Gleason, Coordinator,
Pamela Rhodes – Assistant Coordinator and Team Leader, Keri DeJesus - Team Leader, Lacie Fairweather - Team Leader, Florence McRay – Team Leader, David and Marie Reyes – Team Leaders, Jeannette Watkins – Team Leader, Russell Williams – Team Leader, Elizabeth and Nilo Matos – Team Leaders (Spanish Ministry) and Mildred Serrano – Team Leader (Spanish Ministry).

As of November 8, 2004 we have had 492 First-Time Attenders who have signed prayer request cards.
