Upper
Room Assembly contributes to
missionaries all around the world. Many
of these missionaries have come directly
from our congregation.
Annually we set aside one week
specifically devoted to raising
awareness and to promote missions.
During this missions convention, we
raise funds for a specific project
somewhere in the world.
In the Fall of 2004, we helped raise
funds to support an orphanage in Madras
India. The city of Madras was effected
greatly by the recent tsunami that
destroyed most of the coast line along
that part of India. Thankfully the
orphanage and children were spared. The
water from the great wave stopped less
than 200 yards from where the children
were at the time.
In addition to the missions
convention, short term missions trips
are arranged for those with a desire to
"go" and minister to those in other
areas who need the love of Jesus and
Salvation.
We have teams that regularly go to
Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and
to the other islands in the Caribbean.
If you have an interest in becoming a
part of our missions team please contact
the church office.
